CUSMA is essential to future growth

The Business Council of Canada submitted comments to Canada, the United States and Mexico’s consultation on the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement, urging a successful review and extension of the agreement, arguing it is vital to North American economic growth, competitiveness and security. Representing Canada’s largest companies, the BCC said the pact has boosted trade and investment since coming into force and underpins millions of jobs and trillions of dollars in cross-border investment across the three countries. In its submission, the council called for a strengthened agreement focused on economic and energy security, deeper regulatory cooperation, expanded labour mobility within companies and a sharper mandate to enhance North American competitiveness.
