CTV: Young Canadians have ‘already sacrificed enough,’ Poilievre says in counter-speech to Carney

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre told a crowd of young Canadians in Toronto that they have “sacrificed enough,” accusing Prime Minister Mark Carney of trying to “lull” youth into accepting a “worse quality of life” ahead of next week’s federal budget. “I look at the young people I see today, and so often I see a sense of hopelessness and despair,” Poilievre said, pledging that Conservatives “see you” and will fight to restore “jobs, homes, hope.” Framing his speech as a rebuttal to Carney’s recent call for “sacrifices,” Poilievre declared, “Our message tonight is exactly the opposite… you don’t have to live like this.”
