Canada is launching the $1.7 billion Canada Global Impact+ Research Talent Initiative to attract over 1,000 leading international and expatriate researchers over 12 years. The program includes four streams supporting research chairs, early career researchers, infrastructure, and training, providing comprehensive funding for talent and facilities. This initiative aims to strengthen Canada’s innovation, scientific excellence, and economic competitiveness while addressing key societal and health challenges.
